Daniela works closely with her regular duo partner, Spanish pianist Jose Luis Gayo.

Apart from conventional repertoire, the duo enjoys exploring lesser known German, Spanish and Latin American repertoire. 

Daniela and Jose are also part of Yehudi Menuhin's scheme "Live Music Now" and together have given many concerts and workshops in community venues, such as schools for special needs, hospitals and nursing homes.


About Jose Luis Gayo


Jose Luis Gayo was born in Madrid. He studied piano with Anatoli Povzoun at the Conservatorio Padre Antonio Soler (where he also won the conservatoire's chamber music prize) and privately with Arpad Bodo. 
He also holds degrees from the Liceo Barcelona and Universidad Complutense.

He has worked with David Dubal, Nelita True, Radoslav Kvapil and Roger Vignoles and has received scholarships from the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and La Caixa Barcelona.

In concert, Jose has appeared in Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, France and the UK (Steinway Hall, Chichester Festival, St James Piccadilly, Deal Festival, Brinkburn Festival, Austrian Cultural Forum and City of London Festival). 

He has recorded for BBC Radio 3, the German radio and the Austrian television and also worked as a Spanish music/language coach for the record label EMI Classics.

Upcoming concerts include recitals for Yehudi Menuhin's "Live Music Now", "Vienna Passions"-recitals for the BBC with Daniela Lehner and Klemens Sander in the Wales Millennium Centre, Austrian Cultural Forum and St James Piccadilly, a in Hoddinott Hall Cardiff and studio recordings for BBC Radio 3 with Daniela Lehner.
